Commercial Bank takes lead in launching mobile banking app for SMEs

Commercial Bank has announced its ‘industry-first innovation’ allowing small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) customers to manage their most frequent banking transactions, anytime, anywhere, through the Enterprise Mobile Banking App.
The Enterprise Mobile Banking App is the latest in a long line of digital achievements from the Qatar’s first private bank, and is the first of its kind in the region to offer SMEs a Mobile Banking App that is specifically designed with the business customer in mind.
Commercial Bank understands that operating businesses in the most cost-efficient way is crucial to SME customers’ underlying profits.
The Enterprise Mobile Banking App is designed to help business customers save time and money by making day-to-day banking transactions and keeping track of their accounts through a secure digital banking experience, at a time and place that’s convenient for them.
The Enterprise Mobile Banking App allows customers to view company account balances, view the status of cheques, request new cheque books, make local and international transfers, transfer funds between company accounts, and pay Commercial Bank credit cards, Ooredoo and Kahramaa bills all from the palm of their hands without having to visit a branch in person.
Commercial Bank said it recognises that SME owners can be extremely busy, and so the Enterprise Mobile Banking App has been designed to empower company employees to make certain transactions.
Current authorised signatories can download the Enterprise Mobile Banking App from their mobile phone App store and easily register directly through the App.
New members of staff can also be registered as authorised signatories in order to enact transactions using a secure but simple registration procedure.
Banking on-the go via the Enterprise Mobile Banking App is not only time-efficient but cost-efficient also by offering services at a lower cost than if they were completed in a branch.
No subscription or registration fees apply and App users benefit from unlimited free local transfers, 70% off on fees for transfers in Emirati Dirhams, 50% off on fees for other GCC transfers and 35% off on fees for all other international transfers.
Commercial Bank CEO Abdulla Saleh a-Raisi said: “Commercial Bank is proud to continue our decades-long history of innovation into the digital age and be the pioneers of Internet and mobile banking in Qatar.
“By combining the best in technology with a strong desire to help our customers succeed, we are the market-leading provider of high-quality digital and mobile experiences for businesses through our new Enterprise Mobile Banking App.”
“We are always looking for ways to provide the most secure, easy to use, and convenient digital services for all our valued customers. The new Enterprise Mobile Banking App follows in the successful footsteps of Commercial Bank’s Retail Internet and Mobile Banking services that have saved our customers time in 2015 by offering more than 70 fully automated services,” he added.
