Qatar condemns bomb attack
Qatar yesterday condemned the explosion that took place in Istanbul and led to a number of casualties. Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement, expressed condemnation of the attack, the official Qatar News Agency (QNA) said. The statement said that such criminal acts violated the principles of Islam and humanity. It also violated international laws, the statement added. The ministry said that Qatar remained fully behind any measures Turkey would take to maintain peace and stability. The ministry conveyed Qatar’s condolences to the families of the victims as well as the government and people of Turkey and wished the injured a swift recovery.

Cables ofcondolences
HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani has sent a cable of condolences to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, expressing his heartfelt condolences and sympathy on the victims of the terrorist bombing which took place in the centre of Istanbul yesterday, praying to Almighty Allah to grant the victims rest and bless on the injured quick recovery, according to the official Qatar News Agency. HH the Deputy Emir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani has also sent a cable of condolences to President Erdogan. HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani has sent a cable of condolences to Turkish Prime Minister Dr Ahmet Davutoglu.
