Ezdan Holding Group has donated QR1mn to the General Directorate of the Civil Defence (GDCD) to support its awareness campaigns among all the segments of society.
Ezdan Holding chairman Sheikh Dr Khalid bin Thani bin Abdulla al-Thani presented the cheque to GDCD director general Staff Brigadier General Abdulla Mohamed al-Suwaidi.
GDCD assistant director general Brigadier Aman Saad al-Sulaiti and Prevention Department director Major Hussein Aman al-Ali were present at the ceremony held at the Ezdan Holding headquarters at Dafna area.
Brigadier al-Suwaidi thanked Ezdan Holding on behalf of the GDCD for such a support that would reflect positively on the awareness efforts. He recalled that Ezdan Holding has always been a pioneer in promoting the activities that serve Qatari society.
The official also asserted that disseminating a culture of safety and security in co-operation will all government and non-government entities is among the main priorities of the GDCD.
Sheikh Dr Khalid affirmed that Ezdan Holding is keen to support all the activities of the Ministry of Interior, giving priority to those of the GDCD.
