Information Systems and Technology at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has obtained the ISO 27001 Certification in Information Security Management System (ISMS).
Such an achievement is a culmination of the efforts being exerted in order to improve the technical aspects in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the certificate documents the Information Technology functions within the Ministry in the areas of development, implementation, operation, monitoring, review, maintaining information security systems as part of a continuous risk management process and providing maximum protection for the information.
Director of Information Systems and Technology at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr Saif al-Kuwari expressed pleasure at obtaining the ISO 27001 Certification, praising the efforts being made by all employees who worked with dedication to achieve the required standards.
The achievement of such a prestigious certification from ISO affirms the Ministry’s keenness to develop security systems, internal processes, technical and human resources to protect the information, he added.
