Ooredoo is named title sponsor of Arab Future Cities Summit
Ooredoo has been announced as the title sponsor of the fifth Arab Future Cities Summit 2016, organised by Expotrade Middle East.
The event, which is scheduled to take place on April 11-12 in Doha, will gather more than 20 global and regional industry leaders to share insights and presentations on topics such as smart connectivity, smart transportation and IoT-driven mobility technologies, IoT economical and sustainable smart vehicles, smart government, smart energy and cyber security.
Talking about the sponsorship, Waleed al-Sayed, CEO of Ooredoo Qatar, said: “Ooredoo has always been at the forefront of pushing smart initiatives and the Arab Future Cities Summit is a great platform to exchange knowledge on smart and sustainable cities, and make partnerships that can truly shape the future.”
As a title sponsor, Ooredoo will showcase some of its marquee next-generation technology at the event, including smart infrastructure (5G and Fibre), mega-city and municipality services management, intelligent transport and smart stadiums, demonstrating the company’s leadership in driving the latest and the best technology for businesses and consumers, according to a statement.
Ooredoo has an active strategic and supportive role in shaping the telecom and ICT strategies of upcoming mega infrastructure developments undertaken in Qatar.
