A Doha Criminal Court is hearing a case in which a man is accused of killing his wife after an altercation at home.
According to local Arabic daily Arrayah, police investigation and the medical report affirmed that the woman’s death was the result of repeated assault with electric wires/cables and a hard object. Boiling water was also poured on her, leading to first-degree burns.
The accused admitted to having attacked his wife following the argument at home. He also called for an ambulance after she lost consciousness. However, according to the testimony of paramedics, she was already dead by the time the ambulance arrived, the daily said.
The case has been adjourned for further depositions by witnesses.
