HE the Minister of Municipality and Environment Mohamed bin Abdullah al-Rumaihi yesterday issued a Ministerial Decision reforming the Committee on Regulating Ranches Affairs.
Under the decision, the Committee is composed of specialised departments which are the Livestock Department, Legal Affairs Department, Environmental Protection, Reserves and Wildlife Department in addition to representatives of the Office of the Assistant Undersecretary for Urban Planning and the Office of the Assistant Undersecretary for Environmental Affairs. The committee shall develop the mechanism to regulate ranches in the light of the legislation and regulations, examine requests for ranches and file recommendations and study and review the plans, programmes and projects of ranches.

The State of Qatar is taking part in the two-day ‘Global Education Summit’ which began in Istanbul, Turkey, yesterday.
The Minister of Education and Higher Education, HE Dr Mohamed Abdul Wahed Ali al-Hammadi, is heading the Qatari delegation to the Summit, which is being held under the theme “New Trends in Education in the 21st Century.”
