The Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics and the Arab Centre for Research and Policy Studies (ACRPS) yesterday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance bilateral co-operation in human, social, economic, environmental and institutional development and modernisation and contribute in achieving the goals and objectives of Qatar National Vision (QNV) 2030.
HE Dr Saleh Mohamed Salem al-Nabit, Minister of Development Planning and Statistics and the General Director of the Arab Centre for Research and Policy Studies, Dr Azmi Bishara, signed the Memorandum of Understanding & Co-operation (MoUC) at the headquarters of the Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics.
The MoUC facilitates the exchange of experiences between the Ministry, Doha Institute for Graduate Studies and ACRPS’ experts in the field of preparation of national strategies, in particular contribute to the preparation of the second Qatar National Development Strategy 2017-2022.
The areas of co-operation also include conducting joint studies related to Qatar National Development Strategy and its sectors, organising related scientific seminars and meetings and enhancing statistical expertise in the State.
The MoUC comes in the context of enhancing the scientific and academic ties between the Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics and various scientific and academic state institutions in order to support the development process, which would contribute to the achievement of Qatar National Vision 2030, the building of national human capacities and the establishment of effective national network for scientific and academic exchange.
