The Westin Doha Hotel & Spa hosted its official grand opening, showcasing the hotel’s bespoke wellbeing offerings.
Located in the heart of Salwa Road, the grand opening of The Westin Doha Hotel & Spa marks Starwood’s fourth hotel in Qatar.
HE the Minister of Municipality and Environment Mohamed bin Abdullah al-Rumaihi cut the ceremonial ribbon in the presence of representatives from Ghanem Al Thani Holdings; Brian Povinelli, global brand leader; Michael Wale, president for Europe, Africa and Middle East for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide; and Guido de Wilde, senior vice-president, regional director, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Middle East; among others.
Gianrico Esposito, general manager, Westin Doha Hotel & Spa, said: “We are introducing the residents of Qatar to a new health-enhancing and rejuvenation focused hotel and spa approach, in what is today one of the most dynamic and fastest growing cities in the world.
“We are bringing a new landmark to the historical district of Feerej Bin Mahmoud, while reaffirming the inspired vision and pioneering entrepreneurial spirit of Sheikh Ghanem bin Ali al-Thani.”
The Westin Doha Hotel & Spa freatures 365 rooms and suites.
The Westin Grand Ballroom is the “largest pillar-less ballroom in residential suite and five pool villas – all boasting of the signature Westin Heavenly Bed.
Quality dining is available around the property - ranging from the healthy and tasty international proposals of Seasonal Tastes to the delicate flavours of the authentic Thai restaurant Sabai Thai and the sophisticated Hunter’s Room and Grill that has the only indoor garden venue in Doha, according to a statement.
The hotel’s other attractions include the Heavenly Spa, Westin Workout Fitness Studio and the signature Gear Lending programme.
