QSL side Al Sadd has announced that they expect Qatari internationals Hassan Haydoos and Ali Asad to return back to training today.
The duo were absent from Qatar’s World Cup qualification loss to China after picking up a one game suspension.
In other team news, The Wolves welcomed back Talal al-Bloushi to training. The midfielder had been out for a number of weeks with a muscle complaint, and is now back in full training with the side. Al Sadd take on Al Sailiya in round 24 of the QSL, Jesualdo Ferreira’s side are currently sit in third place in the QSL standings, with a tally of 42 points.
Meanwhile, Sailiya trained on Monday evening, minus Romanian defender Dragos Grigore, under the watchful eye of head coach Sami Trabelsi. Grigore is expected to join up with his teammates later in the week, and will join the closed training camp at a Doha hotel as the squad prepares to focus for the Sadd game.
Sailiya will be without midfielder Raoul Loé, who will be missing through suspension. However the Peregrines could welcome back attacker Abdurahman al-Harazi, who is recovering from injury. Al Sailiya are currently in seventh place in the QSL, with a tally of 32 points.
Ahli draw Shamal in friendly
Al Ahli continued their preparations for their clash with Meisameer, drawing 0-0 with Qatar Gas League side Al Shamal on Monday evening.
Head coach Yousef Adam was eager to use all of his squad at his disposal for the tie as he looks at his options ahead of the final three games of the QSL season.
In team news, Al Ahli expect the international trio of Meshal Abdulla, Mojtaba Jabbari and Firmin Mubele to return back to training tomorrow evening from international duty. Al Ahli are currently in ninth place in the QSL standings and will take on already relegated Meisameer on Saturday evening at Al Arabi stadium.
QSL announce Qatar Airways contest winners
The Qatar Stars League has awarded two lucky winners with two return Qatar Airways flights to an FC Barcelona match.
Two season ticket holders Filip Rideau (Qatar Sports Club) & Raed Hamid (Al Sadd fan) received their prizes from the Qatar Stars League officials this week. Launched earlier this year, the competition was open to anyone purchasing a season ticket over the course of the QSL 2015/2016 season from tickets.qsl.com.qa, allowing them a chance to win and fly out with a friend on Qatar Airways to an FC Barcelona match at Camp Nou in Barcelona.
Lucky winner Rideau was ecstatic to receive his prize, which included two tickets to watch FC Barcelona take on Valencia.
Speaking about the success of the competition, Meshaal al-Emadi, head of corporate sponsorship at the QSL, said; “I would like to congratulate the winners and give thanks to Qatar Airways in offering this fantastic prize. I hope that they enjoy the opportunity to go and see FC Barcelona play at the world famous Nou Camp stadium.”
