A Doha Criminal Court has sentenced two Asian men to a year in jail and subsequent deportation for attempted theft and breaking into the property of others.
Local Arabic daily Arrayah reported on Sunday that the court established that both the defendants colluded to break into the property of others and steal some items but could not complete their criminal act because a guard spotted them.
The guard was able to grab a defendant while the other was able to flee. During the police investigations, the defendants denied that their intention was stealing.
One of them said that he entered the manor on the request of the other defendant to bring some items that belonged to his brother.
