The Law School of Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), a member of Qatar Foundation (QF) for Education, Science, and Community Development, will hold two information sessions on its postgraduate Juris Doctor (JD) programme on April 5 and 12.
The first session will take place at the HBKU Student Centre in Education City while the second one will be hosted at the Tornado Tower in West Bay. Two sessions will be held each day, at 12:30pm and 4:30pm, providing attendees with essential information about the application process, programme components and career prospects. The sessions will also offer prospective students the unique opportunity to meet and engage with Law School faculty and staff.
HBKU’s three-year, full-time JD programme delivers a unique model of graduate legal education to meet the needs of Qatar and the region. Created through a strategic partnership with Northwestern University School of Law, the programme offers comprehensive education in the function of law, whether in Qatar, the region, or internationally.
Students will also have the opportunity to take specialised legal courses in specific sectors, identified as vital to the future ambitions of the country, such as energy, healthcare, infrastructure development, finance and global investment, cultural endowment, and media.
Launched in 2015, the programme is comparable with the best of those offered internationally, and is now accepting applicants for its second intake of students. HBKU’s JD is innovative in nature and suited for individuals seeking to deepen their legal knowledge beyond an undergraduate degree.
