Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa), represented by the Conservation and Energy Efficiency Department, received a delegation from Nama International Institute, Oman, at the Kahramaa Awareness Park recently.
The visit was aimed at exchanging experiences in environment and resource protection, and gave the delegation an opportunity to get acquainted with Kahramaa’s work in the field of electricity and water conservation.
The Omani delegation was familiarised with Kahramaa’s role in promoting a culture of electricity and water conservation as well as the techniques, regulations and legislation involved, besides the initiatives undertaken to make use of renewable energy.
The visitors were apprised on the role of Tarsheed, the National Programme for Conservation and Energy Efficiency, in spreading awareness and developing a sense of social responsibility among all members of the society.
The visit was also in line with the “A Flower Each Spring” programme, with the delegation getting an opportunity to meet Qatari experts in the field.
