Oumar Seck displayed sensational scoring form to power Al Arabi to a 92-63 win over Al Khor in the Emir Cup basketball tournament which began yesterday at the Al Gharafa Club. Al Arabi indulged Al Khor in the first quarter which they barely edged 24-22, but transformed themselves quickly afterwards to eventually turn the match into a lopsided affair.
Seck was at the forefront of the onslaught, scoring 36 points and making a mockery of the Al Khor defence during the almost 37 minutes he was on court. By the time the second quarter ended, Al Arabi had taken a commanding 53-35 lead from which point there was no turning back.
They scored a further 23 points in the third quarter for a 76-52 advantage before nailing the match by a whopping 29-point margin.
Narcellius Soyebo added 17 points for Al Arabi, of which 15 came from the three-point mark, while Moutasim Hamid and Mohamed Matalaqh contributed 16 and 14, respectively.
