HE the Minister of Economy and Commerce Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohamed al-Thani held a series of meetings with senior French officials on the sidelines of the inauguration of the Qatari-French Economic League (Cadran). The minister met separately with Emmanuel Macron, French Minister of Economy, Industry and Digital Affairs and France’s former Justice Minister Rachida Dati, among others. Discussions touched on the promotion of bilateral investment and commercial ties as well as dialogue between the French and Qatari business community in a bid to develop new partnerships between companies from both the countries, increase Qatari exports to France and create new investment opportunities. During the meetings, Sheikh Ahmed outlined Qatar’s economic prospects while highlighting the country’s solid growth rates in line with the government’s plans.
