As part of the cultural diversity festivities jointly organised with Unesco Doha Office, the Cultural Village Foundation – Katara, hosted a dazzling performance by Yasmine Dance Group from Tunisia over two days.
The performances that concluded yesterday attracted a significant turnout of visitors.
The first act, entitled ‘The Safari,’ depicted the Tunisian women’s path and evolution, and continued with performances that stressed the importance of leading a modern life and preserving the traditions of ancestors.
Yasmine Dance Group, led by Saloua Kamoun, founder and the choreographer, is an academy that teaches dance to all ages.
Established in 1985, the group has participated in diverse events in Germany, France, Turkey, South Korea, Serbia, Italy, Oman and Russia, where their shows have been met with great admiration.
