Inhabitants of Qatar can expect yet another rainy spell in the coming days.
According to the Qatar Met department, weather charts indicate that the country will again be affected by a “state of atmospheric instability due to the influence of a low-pressure system” between Tuesday afternoon and Friday.
The skies are expected to gradually become cloudy and there are chances of scattered rain, which could become thundery, accompanied by strong winds and low visibility at times - especially in the early hours of Wednesday and Thursday, the weather office said.
The prevailing winds during this period will be northeasterly to southeasterly, light to moderate, becoming fresh at times. The minimum temperatures will range from 20-24C and the maximum from 29-33C.
“We are currently in the Sarayat season, which is known for fast changes in weather that require constant follow-up,” the Met department said.
Qatar has been receiving rain on a regular basis over the past few weeks, accompanied by thunder and strong winds at times. With yet another rainy spell forecast this week, the weather office has urged people to remain cautious and avoid sea activities, advising them to follow latest updates and warnings through its different social media accounts.
Hot day likely on Monday
A hot day is expected on Monday along with slightly dusty conditions and some clouds by the evening, according to the weather forecast.
The minimum and maximum temperatures in the country on Monday are likely to be 20C and 36C, respectively, with the forecast for Doha being 23C and 35C.
Offshore areas will see partly cloudy and slightly dusty conditions.
