Ferrari Qatar celebrates awards for technician and dealership

Ferrari Qatar has celebrated its achievements at two international and regional competitions that took place at the end of last year.
A special ceremony was organised at the Ferrari Qatar showroom to felicitate technician Rosmar Sumbilla, who won the fifth place at the Global Ferrari Technician Challenge. The ceremony also recognised the awards presented to the dealership – Alfardan Sports Motors - for Ferrari’s Best Global Customer Satisfaction and After-sales Performance in the MEA region.
The Global Ferrari Technician Challenge is an annual competition that attracts leading Ferrari technicians from around the world. The finals were held at Maranello, Italy, where 50 of the best Ferrari technicians, shortlisted from a total of 1,400 participants, contested for the top spot.
Candidates were tested for their theoretical knowledge, technical expertise and superior driving skills over a period of three days, following which the top 10 winners were eventually announced.
Rosmar is the first technician from Ferrari Qatar to be ranked among the top 10 at Ferrari’s globally renowned event. He joined Ferrari Qatar in 2009 and holds a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
Commenting on his achievement, Rosmar said: “I am honoured to have represented Ferrari Qatar in this prestigious competition, and be ranked among Ferrari’s top 10 technicians in the world.”
For Ferrari’s Best Customer Satisfaction and After-sales Performance awards, Ferrari dealerships from the region were assessed for overall performance, based on after-sales figures and customer feedback. Alfardan Sports Motors received the highest cumulative score as compared to the rest of the MEA dealers.
Charly Dagher, general manager, Ferrari Qatar, said: “We are extremely proud of Rosmar’s impressive performance at the Ferrari Technician Challenge, and are confident that the knowledge he has gathered during the course of the event will be utilised to the best of his ability.
“Ferrari Qatar is also delighted to be adjudged the best dealership in the MEA, in terms of customer satisfaction and after-sales performance. Our focus has always been to provide employees with intensive training to update them on latest technologies and best practices, to create an all-round customer experience that exceeds
expectations.”
Featuring a line-up of the latest Ferrari models, the Ferrari Qatar showroom at The Pearl-Qatar is open to customers and enthusiasts seeking true “Made in Italy” excellence.
