Four young people were dead and six hospitalized after becoming intoxicated at an electronic music festival in the Argentinian capital, emergency responders said Saturday.
‘There are four dead, youths between ages 21 and 25,’ said Alberto Crescenti, head of the Emergency Health Care System, which was summoned to the Time Warp music festival in the early morning hours.
The victims had apparently taken drugs, but autopsies will be needed to determine the substance involved, Crescenti said.
‘The youths lost consciousness and rapidly went into a coma,’ he said.
Three of the six hospitalized were in critical condition and had temperatures of 42 degrees Celsius (107.6 degrees Fahrenheit), indicating severe poisoning, Crescenti said.
It was the third Time Warp festival in Buenos Aires. The second night of the event, scheduled for Saturday, was cancelled.
