Strong winds forecast for today
Strong winds are expected in the country during the day, the Qatar Met department has said in its forecast for today. Offshore areas, too, are likely to see strong winds along with high seas, according to the weather report.
The wind speed may go up to 35 knots and 30 knots in offshore and inshore areas, respectively.
The forecast for inshore areas says it will be relatively hot during the day and slight to blowing dust is also likely in some places at times.
Slightly dusty conditions are expected in offshore areas and the sea level may rise to 12ft in some places.
The minimum and maximum temperatures in the country today are expected to be 19C and 32C, respectively, with the forecast for Doha being 23C and 32C.
Doha to host World Stadium Congress in May
The Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC) and International Quality and Productivity Centre (IQPC) Middle East will co-host the World Stadium Congress 2016 from May 16-19, at The Westin Doha Hotel & Spa, Doha, Qatar.
