The Arab League highly appreciated the efforts undertaken by Qatar to promote innovation, creativity and development and support intellectual property.
Dr Maha Bakhit, director of Intellectual Property Department of the Arab League, told Qatar News Agency (QNA) yesterday on the sidelines of the celebration organised by the Arab League on the occasion of the World Intellectual Property Day in Cairo that Qatar was among the countries exerting huge efforts in the field of intellectual property, working efficiently and was keen on training human cadres.
She hailed the regulations in force in the State of Qatar and the Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC) state members, including the common patent system, describing the system as a very advanced step to strengthen intellectual property.
She also pointed out the importance of Qatar’s Unified Trademarks Law, saying it is a good model.
