HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani met at Al Bahr Palace on Thursday evening with FIFA President Gianni Infantino.
The Emir congratulated Infantino on his assumption of the FIFA presidency and wished him success in his duties.
During the meeting, HH the Emir and the FIFA president reviewed the existing relations of co-operation between Qatar and FIFA and ways to enhance them, particularly with regard to the final preparations to organise the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar, and the progress that has been achieved so far in this area.
The meeting was attended by HH Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani, the Personal Representative of HH the Emir.
