The death toll in Tuesday’s road accident on Al Shamal Expressway has risen to five after another Bangladeshi man succumbed to his injuries.
Four of his compatriots had died earlier on Tuesday.
The fifth victim was identified as Mohamed Muhibur Rahman, 29.
As reported by Gulf Times on Wednesday, the other four victims were Mohamed Islauddin, 32, and his brother Mohamed Moinuddin, 30, Mohamed Awlat Hussain, 35, and Mohamed Muhid Uddin 28.
While two of them died on the spot, three died in hospital.
According to sources, the victims were from Sylhet district of Bangladesh. They were on their way to work when their mini-bus overturned following a collision in northern Doha.
Two of their co-workers, identified as Rezwan and Helal Uddin, and the bus driver, an Arab national, were injured and are in hospital.
