Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev met HE Qatar’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaid al-Mahmoud at the presidential palace here yesterday.
Al-Mahmoud is leading Qatar’s delegation to the 7th Global Forum of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) in the Azeri capital Baku.
HE al-Mahmoud conveyed the greetings of HH the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani to the Azeri president and his wishes of further progress and prosperity to Azerbaijan’s people.
President Ilham Aliyev entrusted HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs to convey his greetings to HH the Emir, wishing more progress and prosperity to the Qatari people.
During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations and ways of enhancing them.
They also reviewed the topics and issues tabled on the agenda of the 7th UNAOC Global Forum.
The meeting was attended by HE Qatar’s ambassador to the Republic of Azerbaijan Sayar bin Abdulrahman al- Mauda.
