Local diesel fuel price to fall by 7%
The Ministry Energy and Industry yesterday said the domestic price of diesel would fall by around 7% next month. Qatar has switched to a local energy pricing regime that fluctuates monthly in response to changes in global markets. Diesel will decrease to QR1.4 per litre for the month of May and the price of gasoline will remain unchanged, the ministry said in a statement. Future prices will be based on a formula that includes global levels, production and distribution costs within Qatar, and prices elsewhere in the region.
