HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and King Mohamed VI of Morocco held official talks at the Emiri Diwan yesterday evening, the official Qatar News Agency reported. The session was attended by HH the Deputy Emir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani and by Prince Moulay Rachid on the Moroccan side. The two sides reviewed bilateral relations and ways of enhancing them in areas of co-operation at various levels, in a way that benefits both countries and the two brotherly peoples. The talks also dealt with a number of issues of interest to the two countries, particularly the developments in the region, including the situation in Palestine, Syria and Yemen. The Moroccan King was also accorded an official reception upon his arrival at the Emiri Diwan. HH Sheikh Tamim also hosted a dinner banquet yesterday in honour of King Mohammed VI and his accompanying delegation. Earlier, HH the Emir led well-wishers to welcome King Mohamed VI and his accompanying delegation upon their arrival at Hamad International Airport (HIA) on an official visit to Qatar. HH the Deputy Emir was also at the airport to greet the Moroccan King. Besides, Qatar’s ambassador to Morocco Abdulla bin Falah bin Abdulla al-Dossari and Moroccan envoy to Qatar Al-Makki Kwan were present at HIA to welcome the king.
