Al Mana Group’s ‘test drive’ showcases speed and power

Less than two hours into the event, marketing staff Saleem had already taken more than 30 visitors, who took test drives of the Grand Cherokee as part of Al Mana Group’s “Test Drive and Extreme Performance Day” held at the Qatar Racing Club yesterday.
Similarly, Najid, who was assigned for the test drive of the Chrysler 300, said many of the drivers who witnessed firsthand the speed, power, and other amenities of the vehicle were satisfied with the driving experience.
Yesterday’s event, which ran from 3pm to midnight, provided clients a “memorable experience” for both test drivers and their families at the racing club, which is a well-known venue for drifting, and a drag race arena in the region.
Al Mana Group subsidiaries, Almana Motors and United Cars Almana, showcased the latest Ford, Lincoln, Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram and Peugeot models, as well as Hertz and Almana Used Cars.
Guests and event participants were treated to drift shows by international champions, drag race for motor clubs, performance test drive and off-road experience.
Food stalls and beverages sponsored by Coca-Cola, as well as the special “kid’s zone” were also available during the event.
Many people queued for the test drives for all range of vehicles around the circuit, including the drag track for drivers who want to test the capabilities and technology of the cars. For the drifting and dragging segment, Ahmed Daham and Nigel Colfer were available to teach amateur and hobbyist drivers drifting techniques and ways to perform during drifting shows using participating brands.
An off-road track was also designed and built to give the participating audience the chance to experience 4x4 off-road driving in a dedicated area adjacent to the race track. Mustang and Jeep Wrangler owners, Mopar, SRT Challenger, Charger and Grand Cherokee Clubs were also present during the event.
They also had the chance to compete and display their capabilities under the sponsorship of Mawater.
During the event, Ford Doha officially certified the Mustang Club as the official club in Qatar, and at the same time, revealed the arrival of the Mustang GT350. United Cars Almana also unveiled the Jeep Compass. Other participants in the event included Habitat, Q Tire and
Titanium.
