Aamal Medical and Ebn Sina Medical, an Aamal Company, celebrated the annual “Family Day” event recently that was attended by more than 500 people.
In addition to celebrating the company’s achievements, ‘Family Day’ also recognises top-performing employees.
The company’s success this year was attributed to an increase in demand from both the private and public medical sectors, which was further strengthened by a significant increase in government spending to develop the medical sector in Qatar, according to a statement.
Aamal Company is part of the Al Faisal Holding group.
The “Family Day” activities started with a guided tour of HE Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim al-Thani’s museum in Al Shahaniya, outside Doha. This was followed by outdoor events, including a friendly football match and family activities.
Further, the companies rewarded top-performing staff from various departments such as finance, marketing, tender, retail, sales, PR, HR and logistics. Twelve employees from Ebn Sina and six employees from Aamal Medical were acknowledged for their efforts by HE Sheikh Faisal, who gave them certificates and gifts.
“I want to express my thanks and appreciation to all of our employees and their families, who make up the Ebn Sina and Aamal Medical family, for the incredible work that they do and for continuing to show why we are the most largest pharmaceutical distribution company in Qatar,” said Sherif Shehata, general manager for Ebn Sina and Aamal Medical.
“An activity like ‘Family Day’ provides our employees and their family members with an opportunity to get to know each other and enjoy the company’s successful performance in the year gone by,” said Dr Samy Hanna, deputy manager – administration affairs for Ebn Sina and Aamal Medical.
The day culminated with a gala dinner, which was hosted for the staff and their families by HE Sheikh Faisal, chairman of Al Faisal Holding, the Ebn Sina executive committee and management, and members of Aamal Medical.
Ebn Sina Medical was established in 1971 and is the largest pharmaceutical distribution company in Qatar. Aamal Medical is one of the leading medical equipment suppliers in Qatar.
