The Aspire Zone Open Beach Volleyball Tournament concluded recently, following a series of thrilling men’s and women’s competitions that took place in the Aspire Zone Sand Pitch.
In the men’s category, the ‘Stars’ team took home the first-place title following a neck and neck match against the ‘Qatar University’ team, while the ‘V. Wakra’ team took home the third place title.


‘Notorious DIG’ won the women’s category with ‘Hyper Spikers’ finishing second and ‘Spikers’ third.

In the women’s category, the ‘Notorious D.I.G.’ and the ‘Hyper Spikers’ battled over first place, with the former running out eventual winners, while the ‘Spikers’ team took home the third place title.
Commenting on the conclusion of the tournament, Aspire Zone Foundation Events manager Abdullah al-Khater said, “We are delighted to see such skilful performances from the participating teams, which added a unique flavour to this year’s tournament. We aim to provide sports enthusiasts with the atmosphere to enjoy their favourite sports with these tournaments, and to benefit from Aspire Zone’s world-class venues and facilities. The success of this edition of the tournament, like previous editions, supports our efforts to promote a sports culture amongst members of the local community and encourage them to adopt healthy and active lifestyles. We would like to thank the Qatar Volleyball Association for their support in organising this tournament.”
The second edition of the Aspire Beach Volleyball Tournament was designed to give volleyball enthusiasts of all skill levels the opportunity to showcase their skills in a dynamic and fun atmosphere under the sun. The tournament was open to both male and female members of the community aged 18 years old and above, who competed across eight teams of four.
