QIB ‘diamond sponsor’ of global conference on human resources

Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) is the diamond sponsor of the International Conference on Investment in Human Resources being organised by Ibhar Academy today.
The theme is “Building Human Capital Comes First.” The purpose is to underline the impact of health, education and development on the success of societies.
Experts and specialists will discuss 12 topics related to investment in human resources, including healthcare, education, development of human performance professionally and academically, modern training and development trends, and the role of society in building human capacity.
The conference will also address training requirements for career development and the importance of online training for the public and private sectors as well as means of maximising the potential of human resources.
“We are pleased to support this important event that acknowledges human capital in our industry as well as seeks to ensure further diversification and growth in the sector through the development and promotion of human capital, in line with Qatar National Vision 2030,” said Khalefa al-Mesalam, QIB’s head of Human Capital Group.
One of the main priority areas of QIB’s strategy is human capital development, the bank has stressed.
“QIB has already made strides towards the goal of developing human capital in the banking industry in Qatar. It has continuously been at the forefront of Qatarisation initiatives through its Qatari professional development programmes, which have been running for the past few years and  seen scores of academic scholarships and training courses granted to professional Qataris in the banking industry,” the bank said in a statement.
