Defence Minister meets Palestinian, Jordanian envoys

HE the Minister of State for Defence Affairs Dr Khalid bin Mohamed al-Attiyah held separate meetings  yesterday with the ambassadors of Palestine and Jordan to Qatar, Munir Abdullah Ghannam and Zahi Mohamed al-Samadi, respectively. They exchanged views on issues of common interest.

Ministerial appointments
HE the Minister of Education and Higher Education Mohamed Abdul Wahed Ali al-Hammadi yesterday issued ministerial decisions, appointing a number of department directors at the ministry. According to the decisions, Rima Mohamed Abu Khadija was appointed director of educational supervision, Issa Ali al-Ansari was named director of the curriculum and learning sources department, Jameel Kateem al-Shamari was appointed director of the teachers’ affairs department, Aisha Mubarak al-Khulaifi became director of the early education department, and Khalid Mohamed al-Hajri was named director of the public services department.  

Assistant FM meets Sudan-League team

HE the Assistant Foreign Minister for Foreign Affairs Soltan bin Saad al-Muraikhi yesterday met a joint delegation of the Sudanese government and the Arab League led by Sudanese Minister of International Co-operation Kamal Hassan Ali in order to support humanitarian conditions in Sudan.

Lexus, Toyota  vehicles  recalled
The Ministry of Economy and Commerce, in collaboration with Abdullah Abdul Ghani Company the agent of Toyota and Lexus cars in Qatar, has recalled 2003-2010 Lexus SC430 and 2006 Toyota Sequoia vehicles due to a defect in the airbag inflator of the front passenger seat.
