Fashion event to showcase Lhuillier’s luxury collections

Fifty One East, Qatar’s leading department store, will host for the first time in Doha, a fashion show for the internationally recognised designer Monique Lhuillier, one of America’s foremost luxury brands.
The event will take place on Saturday at 7pm at Fifty One East, Lagoona Mall first level.
Famous for her bridal, ready-to-wear and accessories lines that are distinctly modern yet feminine, Lhuillier is one of the world’s leading icons in the fashion world.
Her apparel has created fans out of celebrities such as Emma Stone, Blake Lively, Sandra Bullock, Anna Kendrick, Taylor Swift, Reese Witherspoon, Drew Barrymore, Jessica Alba, Kristen Bell and US First Lady Michelle Obama among others.
Qatar’s fashion elite will come together to celebrate the designer’s second visit to the country accompanied by her team, where guests will be able to enjoy the Fall 2016 ready-to-wear and bridal collections.
Lhuillier said: “Fifty One East attracts the kind of women I design for - dynamic, feminine and fashion-forward. I know the women who will shop the Fall 2016 RTW and Bridal collections will understand my aesthetic and wear the gowns like they were meant to be worn: with confidence and style.”
The Fall 2016 collection is described as an artistic expression of a woman who is eccentric and elaborate. While remaining sophisticated and ultra-luxurious, the collection takes cues from actress and style icon, Talitha Getty. A rich colour palette of cherry, teal blue, rose pink and basil is contrasted by caramel and dark amber tones.
Dresses in the ready-to-wear collection are elegant to the limit of being luxurious and yet comfortable with fabrics such as guipure lace, to blend dark colours with lacquer floral embellishment.
As for the footwear collection, it includes high-heeled ornate floral caged sandals that make a statement when worn with crystal socks and evening sandals accessorised with mink details, giving the Monique Lhuillier woman playful and whimsical options, no matter the occasion.
The bridal collection features dreamy and romantic designs, ranging from the short wedding dresses to the long “Cinderella like” dresses.
Following the fashion show, there will be a two days trunk show for Lhuillier Fall 2016, at Fifty One East, Lagoona Mall where the brand’s collections are exclusively available.
