The Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) has observed the World Day of Health and Safety at workplace.
The event was in line with Kahramaa’s commitment to implement occupational health, safety and environmental programme and practices in daily business activities at all workplaces.
Held under the slogan ‘Workplace Stress: A Collective Challenge,’ the event was attended by a large number of Kahramaa’s employees and had various activities and awareness lectures.
The activities also included workshops for the employees such as checking blood glucose, blood pressure and basic dental care, medical advice and consultation with a nutritionist. The lectures included topics such as ‘Eye health and maintaining a good eye sight,’ ‘Managing workplace stress’ and ‘Stress management’ among
others.
Kahramaa has been organising regular health camps for its employees aiming at their wellness and spreading awareness about healthy lifestyle and preventive measures to lead a healthy working environment.
