Ezdan chairman joins 40th anniversary celebration of Spanish newspaper El Pais

Ezdan Holding Group chairman Sheikh Dr Khalid bin Thani al-Thani participated in the commemoration of the 40th anniversary of Spanish newspaper El Pais, a subsidiary of Spanish PRISA Group, at the Cibeles Palace in Madrid, Spain.
During the ceremony, King Philip VI met and welcomed Sheikh Dr Khalid, who is also board director of the PRISA Group, along with other dignitaries from the global business and finance community.
PRISA is the world’s leading Spanish and Portuguese-language business group in the fields of education, information and entertainment, via its multichannel range of “top-quality products”. 
Present in 22 countries, it reaches more than 60mn users through its global brands El Pais, 40 Principales and Santillana. 
As a leader in general-interest press, commercial TV, music and spoken-word radio, education and publishing, it is one of the largest media groups in the world with “an extraordinary range” of assets. 
Its presence in Brazil and Portugal and among the growing Hispanic community in the US has given the group an Ibero-American dimension and opened up a potential global market of 700mn people.
