LG hails 30-year partnership with Video Home and Jumbo

LG Electronics has recognised its 30-year partnership in Qatar with Video Home and Jumbo Electronics.
In this regard, LG’s top management in Korea invited Video Home’s chairman and board of directors for a special meeting to “recognise and appreciate the fruitful ties that have been nurtured from humble beginnings to becoming a top brand in Qatar”, according to a statement.
Video Home chairman Sheikh Ahmed bin Saif al-Thani, vice-chairman & managing director Sajed Jassim Mohamed Sulaiman, director Ahmed Abdulla al-Khal, and director and chief executive CV Rappai visited LG’s headquarters in Korea in the last week of April for the meeting.
In Korea, the board members were received by LG’s top management, which included global marketing vice-president Brian Na, senior vice-president for home and air solution Jaeyoo Park, Gulf FZE president Yong Geun Choi, and other senior officials of LG Electronics from various product divisions.
Also present was LG Qatar general manager Jennifer Kim.
The board was presented with a commemorative plaque in appreciation of Video Home’s 30 years of partnership with LG Electronics. The board members were also presented with a special gold lapel pin.
LG organised a gala dinner in honour of Video Home and Jumbo Electronics.
The event was attended by dignitaries from Qatar’s embassy in South Korea, including ambassador Mohamed Abdulla al-Dehaimi, minister plenipotentiary Mohamed AI al-Sada and head of financial and administrative affairs Jassim M al-Moftah.
In his speech, LG global marketing vice-president Na reiterated Video Home chairman Sheikh Ahmed’s vision for the partnership to grow to even further in Qatar.
The ongoing and planned development projects under Qatar National Vision 2030 present immense opportunities for mutual growth for both Video Home and LG Electronics, it was observed.
“With our great innovative products and advanced technologies, which will deliver new levels of entertainment, convenience, comfort, security and energy savings, we will make you and Qatar consumers smile because it will make their lives better,” Na stressed.
Video Home and Jumbo Electronics, founded in 1980 by the late Jassim Mohamed Sulaiman, began its association with LG Electronics in 1986 with two showrooms in Msheireb.
It has now expanded to over 18 showrooms across Qatar, “backed by a strong service network and an efficient supply chain”, the statement notes.
