Jaidah Equipment and Japanese heavy truck manufacturer UD Trucks have unveiled a range of Quester trucks, specifically built with Middle East customers in mind.
The launch event was attended by Jaidah Equipment managing director Ayman Ahmed, sales manager for UD Trucks Hasan Natafji, UD Trucks Middle East business director Jan-Erik Thoren, and Middle East and Africa director Mikito Maruyama.
There was a huge turnout of customers, business associates, and special invitees from Jaidah Corporate Office.
Speaking on the occasion, Ahmed pointed out that Jaidah equipment Group has a history of long-standing relationships with major international manufacturers.
“This makes us perfectly suited to satisfying the high demand for equipment related to Qatar’s construction boom driven by Qatar National Vision 2030. Our partnership with UD Trucks will reap rich returns for both parties and enhance our efforts to facilitate further growth in Qatar’s construction industry,” he explained.
The official described the all-new Quester as a multi-purpose truck for a wide variety of applications, including off- and on-road use, mining construction, distribution and long-haul transportation.
The launch of the new range, marks the largest step to date in UD Trucks’ proud history which aims to challenge the truck market in the Middle East,” Ahmed added.
Jan-Erik highlighted the extensive quality control tests conducted for years by UD Trucks and the Volvo Group. The Quester range was developed with a Japanese hands-on, field-oriented approach established on a customer and factory floor perspective.
“Quester performs impressively, provides good value and satisfies owners’ expectations in every aspect. The trucks are built and refined based on insights from customers’ day-to-day needs and cutting-edge knowhow gained from UD Trucks’ experience in Middle East and the Volvo Group’s global footprint.”
Natafji stated that the Quester range has longer service intervals for different applications. “UD Trucks provides parts availability support from the regional warehouse in Dubai to reduce vehicle downtime.”  
Maruyama expressed confidence that Quester will be a big game changer for UD Trucks.
“More than 400 full-time experts from different nationalities, with extensive knowledge and experience, have been involved in designing, developing and validating Quester and its associated services.
The team has spent 1,500,000 engineering hours and 65,000 tests hours to build the ultimate trucking machine.’
