Abdullah Abdulghani & Bros Co (AAB), the exclusive dealer of Toyota and Lexus vehicles in Qatar, recently held the 2016 Body and Paint Technician Skills Contest grand finals.
The national service division of AAB conducts the event once in every two years.
The skills competition aims to improve body and paint technicians’ repair techniques using the latest technology available in the market. It is in line with AAB’s thrust on achieving the “best customer satisfaction and increasing the motivation of technicians, thereby enhancing their loyalty and continuously improving reliability as well as the reputation of Toyota”, according to a statement.
This year’s skills competition winners are as follows: Paint category - Krishna Prasad Maharjan (champion), Ryan Tafalla Dalimocon (first runner-up) and Dhammika Lasantha Weerasinghe (second runner-up); and Body category - Rajesh Babu Durai (champion), Sarath Babu Nettissery Nandanan (first runner-up) and Suresh Valiaparamull Nanu (second runner-up).
The Body and Paint Technician champions will represent AAB at the Toyota International Customer Service Assembly at Toyota Motor Corporation, Japan, in November year.
In 1991, Toyota Motor Corporation established the Toyota International Customer Service Champions’ Society to provide the deserved recognition and motivation for Toyota customer service personnel worldwide. AAB started the national skills contest in 1999 and the formal body and paint competition began in 2008.
