Intertec Group, the sole authorised distributor of Samsung mobiles and tablets in the country, recently organised the Samsung Galaxy Cup 2016 Qatar national tournament.
The Samsung football tournament is held across the GCC countries, and the Qatar national tournament was hosted at Al Sadd Sports Club with the participation of four teams - Starlink, Sharaf DG, Jumbo Electronics and Emax.
Team Starlink emerged the champions of the Qatar national tournament, followed by Team Sharaf DG as the first runners-up. Team Jumbo and Team Emax were the second and third runners-ups, respectively.
Ghazwan Tarabishi, head of retail operations at Samsung Gulf Electronics, and Intertec officials Aleixo J Fernandes, CEO; Nilabh Singh, division manager - trading; Midhun Joseph, group marketing manager; and Deepak Jayaram, product manager, accessories, attended the awards ceremony in Doha along with Starlink, Sharaf DG, Jumbo Electronics and Emax team members and management representatives.
The Qatar champions will represent Qatar at the “RHQ” finals in Dubai. The winning team from each “RHQ” final will qualify for the world finals, which take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in August and compete with teams from all over the globe. The world winning team will be announced and awarded there.
