Tawar Mall to support local traditions and customs

The under construction Tawar Mall at Al Duhail area, expected to open by the last quarter of this year, will showcase a number of features and facilities supporting local traditions and customs.
"In addition to some spectacular and unique shopping facilities, Tawar Mall will have an indoor traditional souq, a first for any mall in the country," general manager Pedro Ribeiro announced yesterday.
Tawar Mall chairman Jassim bin Jabr Sultan Tawar al-Kuwari, marketing director Andrea Gellei and project chief engineer Khaled al-Samaraie were also present at the press conference.
Tawar Mall will have over 59 new concepts and flagship stores. The souq area will highlight local traditions through a varied range of small shops built to showcase a real souq.
"The upcoming shopping mall with more than 312 shops and restaurants will offer the public the opportunity to buy cosmopolitan brands that will broaden the retail landscape of Doha, thus bringing new concepts to the region; while supporting the local traditions at the same time," Ribeiro explained.
Some of the main attractions of Tawar Mall are its wide corridors with natural light, a panoramic restaurant, an external music water fountain; an internal fountain, a boutique hotel of 122 rooms and a souq.
The new concepts and flagship stores includes an official Real Madrid store, Högl, Buono Chocolates, Lovely Lace Baby, Salamander, Roman, Lamar or Mavi among others.
Tawar Mall has a whole selection of fashion, sports, gadgets and department stores with big family entertainment area (Kaboom), fine dining restaurants, hypermarket (Spar) and a 12-screen cinema, all under one roof.
The whole complex of Tawar Mall is built on 300,958sqm of land, and consists of four floors and two basement level car parking with easy access. Modern and stylish architecture, luxury interiors and avantgarde design are some of the attractions of the mall.
