Staff and workers of at least eight entities can now avail of the services at the new Mowasalat Medical Commission, located in the Karwa City.
Replying to a query from Gulf Times, Mowasalat managing director Khalid Nasser al-Hail said in addition to the company employees, those working for the Ministry of Transport and Communications, Hamad International Airport, Qatar Airways, Qatar Navigation, Qatar Rail, Qatar Civil Aviation Authority, Qatar Navigation and Qatar Ports Management are among other beneficiaries of the new facility.
Asked if the services at the new Medical Commission would be extended to others in the coming days, the managing director said it is “subject to the approval from the authorities concerned in the health sector.”
Now, the Mowasalat Medical Commission would meet the requirements of about 150-200 patients a day. “Our plan is to make available its services to a minimum of 450 visitors daily after a few months”, said al-Khail.
He said Mowasalat has total of about 7,800 employees and the new facility would take good care of their fitness, safety and health.
Mowasalat Medical Commission director Dr Emad M Bahloul said the new facility would work in two shifts between 7am and 9pm.
All facilities of the clinic at the Medical Commission at Mowasalat are certified and licensed by the Ministry of Public Health and Ministry of Municipality and Environment.
