Qatar Airways supports Emir Cup final as official carrier

Qatar Airways, Official Exclusive Carrier of the Emir Cup, is looking forward to an exciting championship finale on May 20 in Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium (Al Sadd Sports Club), with Al Sadd and Lekhwiya facing off against each other in an epic contest for national football supremacy.
This is Qatar Airways’ second year as sponsor of the Emir Cup, as part of its three-year partnership with the Qatar Football Association (QFA).
Qatar Airways will add to the excitement of the event with a booth in the Al Sadd Stadium fanzone, where football supporters can pick up a host of giveaways and participate in numerous activities, boosting the pre- and post-match atmosphere with extra entertainment and thrills.
“Doha is the home of football in the region, and we’re proud to support this infamous sports event,” said Ehab Amin, Qatar Airways’ Senior Vice President Commercial – Qatar.
“Qatar Airways believes that football is an inspirational sport, with its players acting as ambassadors for a healthy, active lifestyle. Our players here at home are second to none, and are role models for young Qataris and expatriates alike to look up to in the hopes of emulating their success. By partnering with the Qatar Football Association (QFA), Qatar Airways plays a role in encouraging the growth of football across the country, as we lead up to the excitement of the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar.”
QFA general secretary Mansoor al-Ansari commented: “We thank Qatar Airways for their continuous efforts to support the Qatari football scene and we are excited to kick off another Emir Cup final match with one of Qatar’s leading companies. Our partnership illustrates both organisations’ vision to have a direct positive impact on the development of the game. Together, we are able to reach a bigger number of fans by organising countless events and activities to create excitement ahead of the final match, and thus expanding the overall Emir Cup’s fanbase.”
Qatar Airways has a long history of collaboration with premiere football action, including its partnership with the QFA, and several other tie-ups.
Amin added: “We’re anticipating a high-octane match with plenty of excitement during the final, and we wish both teams the very best of luck. May the best team win. By working closely with the sports and teams our passengers love, we’re able to take customer experience to an entirely new level – the Qatar Airways level.”
