Maserati Qatar has celebrated World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development.
The company brought its entire team together at an event it organised to celebrate diversity, inclusion, dialogue and development, values that the Maserati brand “fully supports,” the company said in a statement.
The event took place in the Maserati showroom at The Pearl-Qatar.
“The event recognised that Qatar, with its diverse community provides a microcosm of the world. The country possesses a unique demographic, drawing in professionals of countless nationalities who live and work alongside each other, thereby offering a perfect backdrop to promote a globally designated day that celebrates diversity,” the statement noted.
At the event, Maserati Qatar’s community of professionals who come from different parts of the globe took pride in displaying elements of their cultures in different ways.
From the sharing of information to food that is exclusive to different lands, languages, customs and diverse cultural practices, the employees interacted with each other in a spirit of respect and recognition of uniqueness.
The “first-of-its-kind” celebration saw the enthusiastic participation of Maserati Qatar’s entire team, which used the opportunity not only to showcase their own cultures but also raise their level of awareness of the cultures and customs of colleagues.
The Maserati Qatar team also exchanged traditional souvenirs as a memento of the occasion.
Charly Dagher, general manager of Maserati Qatar at Alfardan Sports Motors, said: “When we look at our global workforce, it is made up of countless nationalities who make Maserati what it is.While they are professionals, they are also ambassadors of their unique cultures. They each bring in richness and individuality to their roles. This, again, is something we value.
“So, to have a globally designated day that promotes diversity and dialogue, awareness and respect is something that we are truly happy to engage in.”
Dagher went on to say that through this event, Maserati Qatar has relished the opportunity to raise awareness about the importance of intercultural dialogue, diversity and inclusion.
He confirmed that the brand was committed to building a community of individuals focused on supporting diversity with real and everyday-life gestures that will improve understanding and promote co-operation among people from different cultures.
