The third Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS) conference will start today in Doha under the patronage of HE the Minister of Municipality and Environment Mohamed bin Abdullah al-Rumaihi.
Assistant Undersecretary for Laboratories and Standardisation Affairs at the Ministry of Municipality and Environment, Dr Mohamed bin Saif al-Kuwari said in statement to QNA that the conference will discuss some of the requirements of the Qatari standards, especially with regard to raw materials used in roads, such as the limestone or gabbro building blocks as well as washed sand, used in buildings, noting that the conference comes one year after the entry of Qatar Construction Specifications 2014 into practice.
Qatar to host meeting of GCC social security panel
The State of Qatar, represented by General Retirement and Social Insurance Authority (GRSIA), will host the 37th meeting of the Standing Technical Committee of the GCC Civil Retirement and Social Security, on May 30-31.
Director of Contributors Department in GRSIA Ali al-Kuwari said that the upcoming meeting will discuss a number of topics including the progress of applying insurance protection extension system for GCC nationals, the co-ordination between retirement institutions in the GCC states in addition to the joint programmes and projects and exchanging successful experiences and expertise.
On the sidelines of the meeting, an awareness meeting will be held to inform the Gulf nationals working in Qatar
