As per the weather forecast, the maximum temperature will rise to the mid-40C mark in the central parts of Qatar on Tuesday before dropping to the upper-30s in most areas on Wednesday and Thursday.
Different parts of Qatar have been experiencing windy and dusty conditions over the past few days.
In a report on Sunday, the Met department said there will be a gradual decrease in the strength of northwesterly winds on Monday though the warning for continued strong winds over some inshore and offshore areas will continue until the evening.
Fresh to strong winds are expected again on Wednesday as an extension of the Indian monsoon low is likely to affect Qatar from then until Friday.
During this period, fresh to strong northwesterly winds are expected to blow at speeds of 15-25 knots that may go up to 30 knots at times, resulting in blowing dust and poor visibility – which may drop to 2km or less in some areas.
Sea warnings will also be in effect for strong winds and high waves, measuring 5-10ft.
The Met department has urged people to be cautious and avoid sea activities in view of the expected conditions.
Meanwhile, the forecast for inshore areas on Monday is that it will be hot during the day with slight to blowing dust in some places at times.
The wind speed may go up to 25 knots during the day.
Strong winds are also likely in offshore areas along with high seas and slight dust at times.
The wind speed there may reach a high of 25 knots, with the sea level rising to 8ft.
The maximum temperature is expected to be 41C in Doha, followed by 40C in Messaied, Wakrah and Al Khor, 36C in Abu Samra and 34C in Dukhan and Ruwais.
