Speaker of the Algerian Parliament Abdulkadir bin Salih yesterday met the Chairman of National Human Rights Committee (NHRC) Dr Ali bin Smaikh al-Marri, along with a delegation of the Arab Network of National Human Rights Institutions (ANHRI).
The meeting which was held on the sidelines of the training workshop organised by ANHRI on writing reports for international bodies, addressed the role of national human rights institutions in promoting human culture in the Arab world.
Separately, the presidents of Algeria’s People’s National Assembly Mohamed-Larbi Ould Khelifa met the delegation of the Doha-based ANHRI.
During the meeting, the delegation presented a brief explanation about the establishment of the ANHRI which was proposed Dr Ali bin al-Marri Smaikh in 2008.
