Russia’s Elena Vesnina jokingly eavesdropped on Shelby Rogers’ press conference on Monday looking for tips ahead of their second round clash Wednesday. According to @WTA_Insider, Vesnina jokingly said: “Don’t mind me”. It didn’t matter as Rogers won.

The first round of the French Open started on Sunday but highly-rated German teenager Alexander Zverev only completed his opening tie on Wednesday afternoon. Suspended due to darkness on Tuesday, Zverev came back to defeat Pierre-Hugues Herbert of France 5-7, 6-2, 7-6 (8/6), 7-5.
