More than 500 Qatargas employees were recognised at a recent event for “their outstanding performance and continuous years of service” to the company.
The annual event, which was held to acknowledge the commitment and dedication of Qatargas employees, included two awards – the long-service awards and the ‘Shukran’ award.
The long-service awards recognise employees for their dedicated long-term service to the company, and the Shukran award recognises outstanding achievements by Qatargas employees.
The valued contribution of Qatargas employees has been instrumental in making Qatargas what it is today — the “World’s Premier LNG Company”.
On the long-service awards, Qatargas CEO Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa al-Thani said: “Let me start by congratulating all of you who are here to receive the Shukran award. This award is in recognition of your outstanding performance and valuable contribution towards achieving the company’s business goals. “I would therefore like to say my personal ‘shukran’ to all of you, and encourage you to keep up this high level of performance. I would also like to extend my congratulations to those of you who have received a long-service award. This award is a reflection of your hard work, professionalism and contribution to the success of Qatargas over many years.”
During the ceremony, a total of 185 Qatargas employees received the Shukran award in recognition of their exceptional performance in 2015.
In acknowledgement of their hard work, professionalism and contribution to the success of Qatargas over many years, some 362 employees received a
long-service award.
Qatargas said it is “committed to developing employees and fostering a culture of learning, innovation, diversity and excellence.”
In particular, Qatargas is committed to developing its national workforce with its Qatarisation development plan, which prepares national employees with the knowledge and skills required to succeed in key roles in the company.
