Vodafone’s new booth opens at Qatar University

Vodafone has inaugurated its new booth at Qatar University located in the College of Business and Economics, Building H08, female campus.
Vodafone said the booth “is a new platform that falls in line with the first-year anniversary of the Memorandum of Understanding that Vodafone and Qatar University signed in 2015.”
Aimed at offering a wide range of products and services to students, Vodafone said the booth also serves to engage with students, providing them with career advice, entertainment, and more.
Mohamed al-Sadah, chief operating officer at Vodafone Qatar, said: “The idea of a booth at the prestigious Qatar University stems from the concept that students know what they want, and therefore empowering them to reach their potential and achieve the extraordinary was the important thing to do. Vodafone’s new booth is a pleasant area for students to enjoy their free time between classes and on their breaks.”
Qatar University’s Administration and Economics Faculty dean Dr Nitham Hindi said: “Vodafone’s booth will serve as a platform for the exchange of information and best practices that will benefit our students and comes as part of the vital academic role that the faculty of Administration and Economics play at Qatar University.”
Vodafone said it is working with students directly to help them enjoy student life on campus, and help them develop their career paths off-campus in workshops and trainings provided by professionals. Students will also have the benefit to enjoy Vodafone services without having to go to the company’s retail stores, the company said.
Additionally, Vodafone said it is planning entertainment and engagement activities led and produced by the students.
In 2015, Vodafone and Qatar University signed an MoU to collaborate in education and research areas, and mutual scientists and researchers’ exchanges for various instructional and training initiatives in business, finance and information technology areas.
Vodafone has already assigned students to run the Vodafone Falla Club on campus where students help spearhead programmes and initiatives to help each other achieve the extraordinary, the company added.
