Quality Group International opened its new retail outlet, New Quality Hypermarket, in the Al Rayyan area of Doha yesterday.
Quality Group International chairman Shamsudheen Olakara and New Quality Hypermarket chairman Sheikh Jassim Thamir Issa Thamir al-Thani jointly inaugurated the hypermarket.
Kenyan ambassador Galma Muke Boru, US embassy’s senior commercial specialist Anissa Lahreche, Philippine embassy’s cultural attache John Danilo G Jiao Jr, Ahli Bank CEO Saleh Murad, Khaleeji Commercial Bank manager Khalid A Rahman al-Kooheji, Unikai-UAE CEO Neeraj Vohra, Dubai Regency Group executive director Aboobacker Mohamed, Kazir Kotti of Lootha Group Dubai, Mohamed Hamad Mubarack al-Khaleefa, Rashid Hamad al-Athba, and other dignitaries were present at the opening.
The new hypermarket is designed across three floors with a total area of 85,000 sqft. The ground floor features a number of shops and kiosks, including a pharmacy and ATM counters of leading banks. It also has a spacious supermarket for food, fresh food and other grocery items.
First floor includes non-food, health and beauty items, household and home furnishing, gift, stationery and sports items. Shops for mobile phones, watches and fashion jewellery are part of a department store.
The second floor is also designed for various electric, electronic, IT and technology products, as well as garments, fashion accessories, footwear and luggage from leading brands around the world.
A number of promotions and price discounts have been announced for the first two days of the inauguration, especially for the electronics, food and non-food sections.
New Quality Hypermarket at Rayyan is the seventh outlet from the Quality Group International in Qatar. The company is planning to open an outlet at Al Khor by the end of this year.
