Ramadan preparations
Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) has completed its technical and administrative preparations to meet the demand of subscribers for water and electricity supplies during the holy month of Ramadan. All the necessary regular maintenance works of Kahramaa power stations, whether the main or sub ones, and the control centres have been accomplished. Kahramaa has taken the necessary procedures to continue the supply of electricity without any cuts due to overloads at the peak times during the month. All Kahramaa technical teams are ready round the clock to intervene and repair any faults or failures as soon as possible.

Awareness drive on health and safety
The Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) will organise a number of awareness activities tomorrow on the occasion of World Day for Safety and Health at Work at the headquarters of the Medical Commission under the slogan “Workplace Stress”. Several government and private entities will take part in the programmes, including HMC, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Administrative Development Labour and Social Affairs, Well Care Group and several social organisations. The activities will be held in the morning as well as in the afternoon with the first slot of 8am to 10:30am, allocated for women. Men are welcomed from 1pm to 6pm. Activities include medical tests and lectures offered in several languages and free medicines and workshops offered by participants.
